Jay-Z Loses His Religion, Samples R.E.M. On ‘Heaven’

Fans haven't heard a single from Jay-Z's upcoming Magna Carta Holy Grail, but judging from a couple of choice song lyrics, it seems that Hov is digging into some pretty deep stuff on his new album.

A day after the lyrics to were released online, team Jigga has released lyrics to "Heaven" via the same Samsung phone app that will deliver the album to Hov diehards on July 4. While seems to be tackling the pains of celebrity, on "Heaven," Jay questions religion and once again shoots down rumors that he is part of the Illuminati — and recycles a R.E.M. lyric as well.

"Question religion/ Question it all/ Question existence/ Until them questions are solved," reads the lyrics sheet before the chorus to R.E.M.'s 1991 rock classic "Losing My Religion" are to be recited.

On "Holy Grail" Hov and JT borrows from another 1991 rock classic, Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." It is still unclear on how both these songs will sound, but judging purely off the lyrics, neither cut is "Big Pimpin'" in the slightest.

Jay still manages to stunt, even while being thoughtful he still drops juxtaposed lines about his Rolls Royce, Lamborghini and luxury Maybach. "Getting ghost in the Ghost/ Can you see me/ Can you see me/ Have mercy on Judas/ Angel wings on a 'ghini/ I'm/ Secular tell the hecklers/ Seckle down/ Y'all religion creates division/ Like my Maybach partition," Jay is expected to rhyme when the song is finally released.

Miley Cyrus Is A ‘Skilled Twerker,’ And Ying Yang Twins Co-Sign!

Miley Cyrus has proved she loves twerking — just watch — so much that the Ying Yang Twins think her name should be synonymous with the dance move.

D-Roc and Kaine helped launch twerking into popularity with their 2000 hit "Whistle While You Twurk,"and now, they're giving fans a new name for the dance move on off their July 12 mixtape, Ass in Session.

"I feel like we inspired the whole twerk movement because when everybody was kids they were listening to Ying Yang and that's when they heard the twerk movement," D-Roc told MTV News. "So once they got grown, it transitioned. Miley Cyrus was the one that was out there. Boom! Well do the Miley Cyrus then!"

Between working with folks like Pharrell and Mike Will Made It to jumping on stage with Juicy J, Miley's been fully embraced by the hip-hop community, and the Ying Yang Twins are getting in on the love too.

"She really embraced music and she love hip-hop. So her loving hip hop, she love to dance," D-Roc said. "There's a side of Miley Cyrus that you never seen and that's what we want to compliment. Like, alright, if this what you want to do, let me help you. Once she took that lane and started doing what she was doing, it's going to make people look at her like 'Oh, OK, Miley Cyrus like this kind of music.'

"Miley Cyrus is the twerking mascot," he added. "She's the Ying Yang mascot."

While twerking is hardly new, it has certainly become ...

Jonas Brothers Say Their ‘First Time’ ‘Felt Right’… As Next Single

It's officially here! The Jonas Brothers have dropped their new single, The brothers let the song out into the world on Tuesday (June 25), giving fans the chance to hear what else they've been cooking up for their forthcoming album release.

The song, released on iTunes, is a departure from the up-tempo "Pom Poms," both in mood and tone. Whereas "Pom Poms" favored marching bands and a peppier, pop rock sound, "First Time" has a moodier, electronic vibe. The mid-tempo single has vocal loops and synths as the guys sing on the chorus, "Come on let it set you free/Right here, right now/ Where you supposed to be/ Make it feel like the first time."

This is hardly the first listen fans have gotten to the track. It leaked early this month and they've performed it live several times, including at their reunion show last October at NYC's Radio City Music Hall and an unplugged version at the O Music Awards last week.

The JoBros dished about the glitchy tune to MTV News the night of the O Music Awards, breaking down why they felt it was the perfect follow-up to "Pom Poms."

"I think it felt right. It felt like the kind of song that people that weren't maybe as familiar with our music and maybe wouldn't have called themselves fans would respond positively to because it's so different for us," Nick said. "Or, at least, I hope they will and it's one of my favorites, one of all of our favorites, I think from the minute we ...

One Direction ‘This Is Us’ Trailer: Slightly Sappy, Super Sexy

When One Direction released the trailer for their highly anticipated on Tuesday (June 25), they not only got an intimate look at their life in the spotlight, but also a taste of their "Best Song Ever."

While Harry Styles, Naill Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne show the struggles of global success in the clip, they still show off their playful, cheeky side in the clip. We've wrapped up the key scenes from the full-length trailer.

Childhood Flashbacks
Before they were selling out arenas all over the world, the guys of One Direction were just dreaming making it big. In a series of adorable photos of them at an early age — Harry looking like a young rockstar and Louis in a schoolboy uniform — the guys reminisce about the moments they realized that singing is what they were born to do.

"It would be three in the morning singing at the top of my voice," Zayn Malik says. "That's where it kind of started."

Harry Loses His Pants And Liam Loses His Shirt
If there is one thing we knew we would see in a One Direction trailer, it's shirtless guys. In one scene, Harry bares his washboard abs mid-rehearsal to show off his tattoos, and later fans are treated to Liam in nothing but his boxer shorts. And Directioners will probably be a bit more pleasantly surprised than Harry when the floppy-haired one gets pantsed onstage by Liam.

Family First
Life on tour is not only hard at times for One Direction, but also for the family members who ...

Ariana Grande Was ‘So Unhappy’ With ‘Victorious’ Bully

Think of Nickelodeon TV star Ariana Grande and it's almost impossible to picture the 19-year-old pop singer without a smile glued to her face, but things weren't always sunny for her on the set of "Victorious," which ended in February.

In a preview from the August 2013 issue of Seventeen magazine, "The Way" singer explains that there was tension with an unidentified co-star. "I worked with someone who told me they'd never like me. But for some reason, I just felt like I needed her approval. So I started changing myself to please her. It made me stop being social and friendly. I was so unhappy."

Since "Victorious" has wrapped, Grande considers herself "so lucky to be working with" current co-star Jennette McCurdy for their spinoff "Sam & Cat," which premiered earlier this month on Nickelodeon. "She is a real, genuine, honest person, a good friend, and doesn't care about all the superficial BS. She's the most hilarious actress I've ever met and I just adore her," Grande said of the former "iCarly" star.

Ariana Grande, Mac Miller 'Make Music All The Time'

The two recently stopped by MTV News to talk about their new show, which has Sam and Cat playing babysitters. "It's flattering that people, I think, responded to our characters so well and that they would want to see us continue on in a show together," McCurdy said.

While the two won't be belting out tunes anytime soon on the show, fans of Grande can hear the platinum-selling artist's forthcoming album, Daydreamin', when it's released in August. ...

‘Spider-Man’ Villain Catchphrase? Jamie Foxx Reveals Terrifying Lullaby

With this summer's superhero season halfway over, people are already turning their attention toward next summer's comic book offerings. Among them is undoubtedly Jamie Foxx, who will torment Spider-Man as the villainous Electro in next summer's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," the sequel to 2012's hit reboot.

But when you cast an actor as charismatic as the Academy Award-winning Foxx in a relatively unknown role like Electro, you have to expect some changes to the character. And when Foxx sat down with MTV News' Josh Horowitz to discuss "White House Down," he said that included coming up with a villainous catchphrase on the fly.

"They would allow me to come up with things, because I think why you like going to see those types of movies, and that's what I dig doing, you want to hear catchphrases," said Foxx. "So at one point we were doing this green screen thing, and [Marc Webb] says, 'Just ad-lib something.' And I said, "The itsy-bitsy spider went up the water spout, down came... Electro... and wiped the spider out."

Electro's history as a Spider-Man rogue is not as well-regarded as the hero's big-time foes like Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus or Venom. Max Dillon has, at best, always occupied the B-list of Spider-Foes. So when he sat down with MTV News, Foxx revealed just what he and "the committee" — consisting of director Marc Webb and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach — had in mind when breaking down Electro's character.

"What I wanted to bring, we all decided was, we wanted to make Electro a formidable ...
