Miley Cyrus Goes For A Dip In ‘We Can’t Stop’ Video Teaser

Mark it on your calendars: Miley Cyrus' video drops in just two days. And from the looks of it, she's getting wild in her latest clip.

In an 8-second teaser she shared on Monday (June 17), Miley is alone in a pool before extras, clad in very little, jump in with her. The singer shot the video back in late May with producer Mike Will Made It. And judging by what he told MTV News, there's no telling what we'll see in the clip, as Miley was down for just about anything.

Miley Cyrus Works Hard, Parties Hard!

"Miley already had her idea on how she wanted her video to go. A lot of artists have a lot of boundaries to how they record videos; they only want to be doing certain things. But she's young. She's 20. She's fresh, so she's just having fun on set," he explained. "Whatever character she had to be in, and like I said she's an actor too, so whatever she had to be in in whatever shot, she played that character to the T."

Miley Cyrus Opens Up About 'We Can't Stop'!

Mike Will also revealed that the inspiration behind the song, which is the lead single off her 2013 album, was a real-life party she attended, which may explain the teaser's house-party vibe.

"When she heard this song, what made her connect to this song is it reminded her of a specific party, a specific party where she was at," he said. "She's saying real stuff. It's all real. So ...

Emilio Rojas Reveals Chris Lighty Connection On No Shame… No Regrets

Main Pick
Headliner: Emilio Rojas
Representing: Rochester, New York
Mixtape: No Shame... No Regrets

Real Spit: Emilio Rojas has consistently kept his name buzzing in rap's underground and amongst some of the game's heavy hitters, like Rick Ross and the beloved Chris Lighty. Rojas' immense rap talent hasn't translated into rap fame, but the Rochester, New York spitter remains undeterred on his latest release, No Shame... No Regrets.

"Everybody swore that last year was mines, everything was lined up/ Thought that I would sign to MMG and join the lineup," Rojas spits on the project's title track before rapping about his dealings with music mogul Chris Lighty, who took his own life last August.

"Started f---in' with Chris Lighty 'cause he could see it/ And we were workin' with him on this tape that we're releasing/ And he took his own life on the day we were supposed to meet up," Emilio continues to rap before sending a rest-in-peace shout out.

Listening to the rest of No Shame, which is offered on iTunes and for free on DatPiff.com, shows that Rojas is as skilled as any MC in his class and has a developed songwriting ability as well. "I'm a voice that nobody is hearing right now, especially in the rap game. I'm a young half-American, half-Hispanic artist and I spit," Emilio tells Mixtape Daily.

He can also carry a tune. "Wake Up With You" is a slow and syrupy, R&B-laced track where Rojas professes his love and lust for a certain young lady by singing on the hook and rapping on the ...

Nick Lachey Tells Singers To Kick ‘Pride’ Aside On ‘The Winner Is’

Nick Lachey has $1 million dollars to give away on his new NBC singing competition series, "The Winner Is." That is, if you think you have the skills to take home all those bills...

The summer series follows singers every week who must decide if they are good enough to stay in the competition and go for the grand prize of $1 million dollars in the finale, or if they want to tag out early and go home with anywhere between $10,000 and $50,000. The show is getting some special airings behind "The Voice" (the second airs Monday [June 17]) before it officially kicks off on NBC on July 11.

"Well I think what attracted me to the show was basically that it was an interesting concept and not one that we've seen done before and kind of regurgitated [the] reality concept. It was the idea of combining kind of the excitement of a performance competition show with the strategy of a game show," Lachey told MTV News. "To me, it's like if you take the battle round of 'The Voice' and combine it with 'Deal Or No Deal.' If those two shows had a baby, the baby would be named 'The Winner Is.' "

Lachey, who previously hosted "The Sing-Off," knows that having money on the table really increases the stakes for the contestants. "Well you know when you look at it objectively, it's easy to say 'If I didn't feel like I did well, at least I want to leave with [$10,000] or [$25,000],' but as singers we all ...

Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Get Baby ‘Congrats’ From Beyonce

After giving birth to a girl on Saturday, Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West are feeling the baby love. Some of the biggest names in hip hop, including Beyoncé has also sent her well wishes.

"Congratulations Kim & Kanye, Enjoy this beautiful moment together," Bey wrote on her website Monday (June 17), above a photo of Kim and Kanye looking into his other's eyes and smiling.

Beyoncé, who is mom to 1-year-old Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z, established a bit of a friendship over the last year with Kardashian. They were first were spotted together at a Watch the Throne show in Birmingham, England, last June, not long after Kimye went public with their relationship. The two went on to hang out — with Jay-Z and Kanye in tow — at the 2012 BET Awards.

In May, Kimye and Bey were all guests at the Met Gala. That same month, Kim kicked it VIP at a Mrs. Carter Show Tour stop in London, where she snapped photos of the superstar in concert.

So far, Kim and Kanye have kept details of their daughter, including her name, under wraps. But Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, shared at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday night that she hoped to have more information to share "soon." "We're happy, everybody's good and she's beautiful," Jenner told E! News at the event.

Her comments mirror those of Kim's little sister Khloe, who tweeted on Sunday, "I cannot even begin 2describe the miracle that is now a part of our family. Mommy/baby are ...

Pharrell Would Hit An ‘Untapped Zone’ On Clipse Reunion Album

Pusha T is a little over a month away from dropping his debut solo album, My Name is My Name, but Pharrell is confident that fans will be gifted with a Clipse reunion album in the near future, and he will certainly be on board to produce it when the time comes around.

"Oh they will," Pharrell told MTV News matter-of-factly, when asked if he thought a Clipse album is on the horizon, going on to explain what his role in the project might be. "I'm gonna have to find an untapped zone and just present something different that people haven't felt before."

"I don't know what the sounds would sound like, or what the vibes would be, but at that moment the arrow will present itself to me and I'll just listen and follow it," he added.

Pharrell initially helped Clipse rise to fame, with The Neptunes handling production on their full length project Exclusive Audio Footage and later signing them to his Star Trak Entertainment to release Lord Willin', their first big commercial album. The duo also released Hell Hath No Fury and Til the Casket Drops before deciding to take a break to make solo albums. Pusha signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label in 2010, and on July 16, My Name is My Name is finally scheduled to hit stores.

Pharrell expressed his enthusiasm for both Pusha and No Malice's current work. "[Pusha's] ready for that and his brother No Malice — as he goes by these days — is definitely on a different page, but an ...

2 Chainz’s Me Time Will Be Music To ‘Let Your Hair Down’ To

Ever since he exploded back onto the rap scene, 2 Chainz has stayed plenty busy pumping out a dazzling array of feature verses, a bunch of concerts and, of course, continuing the promo of his gold-selling, solo debut, Based on a T.R.U. Story.

And it doesn't look like Deuce will be taking a vacation either. On September 10, he'll be releasing his second album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, and it's the rapper's hope that it will give his fans the escape that he's craving right now.

"Me Time has multiple meanings. I feel like my music actually gives people a sense of going away sometimes — without really going on vacation," Chainz told MTV News backstage on Saturday at his show-stopping performance at Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash concert in Atlanta.

"I feel like when people listen to me, they feel like they're goin' somewhere, taking time off; they're relaxing, lettin' their hair down," the dreadlocked MC said reflectively. "Every time somebody wants to have some 'me time' or whatever, this is the type of vibe, this is the type of project [to listen to]. I'm putting together different sounds to make people be like, 'This is about me. Me and my people, this is our time.'"

If the album's first single, is any indication, Me Time will provide quite the escape. Chainz hooked up with producer Pharrell Williams to create a Caribbean-driven reggae vibe that just screams island getaway.

"It just felt like it was something different, it felt like it was something that needed to happen," 2 Chainz ...

Kanye West And Jay-Z: Two Albums, Two Very Different Arcs

Kanye West has spent the past few months railing against corporations and the constraints of the boardroom. Meanwhile, Jay-Z has presumably spent the same period of time cooking up marketing strategies with the suits at Samsung. Both will release new albums over the next month, though each is clearly doing so at very different places in their respective career arcs.

First, consider Yeezus, West's latest snarling missive, an album full of vitriol and vices (and no official singles). In just about every conceivable way — from the loading-dock listening sessions and lack of a pre-order to songs like — West has seemed determined to make it an exclusive thing, a piece of art that cannot be confined by the constraints of commercialism or comprehended by the casual listener.

It is a willfully difficult work, from an artist who, by his own admission, is willfully difficult by default (in his fascinating New York Times interview, West described himself as "forever the 35-year-old 5-year-old"). In some ways, it seems like Kanye doesn't want you to enjoy Yeezus at all; instead, he's decided to make you feel his pain, see the world through his eyes. That defiant attitude extends beyond the music, too, touching everything from Yeezus' anti-marketing campaign to the fact that it doesn't even come with a proper album cover. In that regard, then, it's the most defining work of West's career; his most unapologetic album. He's the enfant terrible of hip hop (well, either him or Chief Keef), and ...

Chris Brown Uses Aaliyah In ‘Don’t Think They Know’ Vid To Call Out Gang Violence

Chris Brown's new video for the Aaliyah-assisted doesn't open with a sexed-up reveal or flashy dance number. Instead, Breezy sets it off with an important and unexpected message: "Every two hours in America today a child dies of a gunshot wound," reads the black screen. "Unity is what we are afraid of so fear is insanity, lets love each other."

The track from Brown's upcoming X album plays like a teenage love story, but the cinematic video delivers a deeper message. A black, white and red opening scene is set in the gang-infested streets of Compton. As Chris and his homeys come riding down the street in an old-school red convertible, looking for trouble, the singer has a change of heart and leaves — much like actor Cuba Gooding Jr. did in the 1991 classic, "Boyz n the Hood."

Chris Brown feat. Aaliyah - Don't Think They Know from Mechanical Dummy on Vimeo.

The track recalls a '90s R&B vibe, thanks to Aaliyah's posthumous performance and Brown's interpolation of Jon B's 1997 hit "They Don't Know." Still, in the video, Brown sticks to his anti-violence theme and unites the red Bloods with the blue Crips in one overarching clip. When he isn't surrounded by gang-bangers, he's singing with a crowd of kids in front of a school or dancing alone in a dark room flanked by two projected images of Aayliah taken from some of her music videos.

The message was all part of Brown's plan, he admitted. "I shot it in the hood, I went ...

Kanye West Unveils Gory ‘American Psycho’-Inspired Promo Film Starring Scott Disick

Kanye West may have taken a short break from personal promotional duties on Saturday to welcome the birth of his daughter
with Kim Kardashian, but that doesn't mean the Yeezus
train totally came to a halt.

On the same weekend the happy couple celebrated their daughter's debut, Kanye finally screened the long-rumored short film starring not-really-brother-in-law Scott Disick on the side of a building in Los Angeles during a listening party.

The 'Ye mini-movie, inspired by the 2000 film adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' shocking Wall Street serial killer novel, trades the film's signature murder soundtrack, Huey Lewis' "Hip to be Square," with West's "New Slaves," and swaps out Disick for Christian Bale in the role of nattily dressed killer Patrick Bateman.

It opens with a shot of Kim Kardashian bestie Jonathan Cheban reclining on his white couch sporting a custom suit with suspenders and slicked-back hair in place of the original's Jared Leto. (In a strange twist, both men are playing their respective movie roles while also addressing each other by their given name.)

Disick appears and snatches a copy of the art-less Yeezus CD from a stack and starts a soliloquy about the music similar to Bateman's insanely coked-up ramblings from the movie. "The early work was a little to hip-hop for me and my tastes," and amped-up Disick says while pacing around and dissecting 'Ye's career in a high-pitched voice. "But when Dark Twisted Fantasy came out in 2010 I think he really came into his own, but musically and lyrically." Read our First take ...
