Juicy J's rap resurgence makes for one heck of a story. With a solid mixtape run and his inescapable rap hit the Three 6 Mafia rapper/producer is riding high and readying the release of his solo shot Stay Trippy. But there is one Memphis, Tennessee, rapper who is claiming that Juicy's current run isn't all that it seems to be.
Yoyo Munie says that he actually wrote "Bandz."
"That's a lie," Juicy J said on Wednesday's (May 15) "RapFix Live."
In fact, "RapFix" host Sway Calloway could barely get his question out before Juice shot down the claim. "Lies. People thirsty out here; they'll do anything," Juice said adamantly." They do anything to try to get on. Nah, that's lies, man."
Earlier this month, Munie spoke with Complex.com, claiming that he has been writing for Juicy for about three years in a work-for-hire fashion. According to Munie, he penned the majority of Juice's 2011 Blue Dream & Lean mixtape and "Bandz a Make Her Dance," as well as "Gun Walk" and "Trippy," two Juicy-produced tracks that appeared on Lil Wayne's most recent I Am Not a Human Being II album. "That's what I'm mad about. He gets hooks from me, gives them to other people, and he's supposed to be putting me on, and he don't put me on," Munie said. "It's pissing me off."
On Monday, former Three 6 member Gangsta Boo backed up Munie's claims. "One of my homeboys wrote 'Bandz' for him," she told Vlad TV.
