This one seemed inevitable. Childish Gambino and Chance the Rapper have been friends, collaborators and tour mates for a few years now, so it makes sense that they would finally team up for a joint project.
During his set at Governors Ball in NYC this weekend, Chance performed a lost verse from Gambino’s Because the Internet track “Worst Guys.” That left the actor and rapper open to reveal a big “hint” on Twitter, telling fans, “now that chance finally released his verse on “worst guys”, maybe he can hurry up and finish the rest of our EP.”
Gambino appears on the track “Favorite Song” from Chance’s Acid Rap mixtape and the Chicago rapper has previously opened for him on tour.
Gambino also got a nice little surprise this weekend, when Andre 3000 and his son showed up to catch his set. Chance has had to cancel a few recent shows, including a Coachella date, due to illness, but it looks like he’s back on track now.
