What would you call a fashion collection that takes the past’s vision of the future (i.e. the 1990s’ image of what the world would be like post-millennium) and turns it into clothes for the present? Inception? Meta? A little of both? Well, it’s actually called D.TT.K.‘s Spring/Summer 2015 collection. One of four designers shown at this season’s VFiles Made Fashion show, the newest offerings from D.TT.K. take that meta approach and spin it with additional inspiration from Japan’s bōsōzoku biker gangs.

On paper, it’s a strange combination of influences, but on the runway, it translates into forward-thinking motocross separates, paper-bagged pants, chest protectors as outerwear, and even a suit made of cork. As in cork.
