Danielle Bradbery ‘Excited For Whatever Comes’ After ‘The Voice’ Win

Blake Shelton may have celebrated his birthday Tuesday night during “The Voice” finale, but the night really belonged to his team member Danielle Bradbery, who was crowned this season’s champ. Her win was hardly surprising considering former contestant Sasha Allen and mentor Adam Levine both declared Bradbery the early winner.

Bradbery beat out fellow finalists the Swon Brothers (who were also on Blake’s team) and Michelle Chamuel (on Team Usher) in what had been a tight race up until the very end. After the show, Bradbery spoke to Entertainment Weekly, noting that one of the biggest highlights for her had to be getting the chance to duet with Hunter Hayes in a performance that aired during the finale.

“I’ve always wanted to perform with Hunter Hayes, and he was so sweet and down to earth, it was just a blast up there with him,” she said, adding that she’d love the chance to work with her mentor on her album. “I definitely would love to have Blake included in everything. The music, I want to make my own song and… Oh man I’m just so excited for whatever comes.”

Not long after she won, Shelton took to Twitter to share his excitement for the 16-year-old’s victory. He tweeted, “Holy s— balls!!!! I love y’all!!!!!! Congrats @DBradbery !!!!”

He was equally gushing when he spoke to EW about the singer. “Even to take myself out of the equation — Danielle Bradbery, and I’ve said this on the show, I think might be the most important artist to ever walk across ‘The Voice’ stage because we’ve seen some artists come and go who’ve had record deals before, who have done some things before,” he said. “Danielle Bradbery may be the first person we’ve actually discovered here on this show.”

Bradbery’s fans also sent her lots of love and support in the hours after the finale aired. “@DBradbery congrats on a well-deserved win. @MichelleChamuel, touched by your humility. Usher will see to it that your career takes off,” @todd_skiles tweeted.

Many fans were even more thrilled for the teen, since she had very little prior professional singing experience before appearing on the NBC show. “@DBradbery congrats! UR an inspiration 2 those tryin 2 make it & follow their dreams!” @COrfanoudakis tweeted. “Anythn is possible if U want it & go4it! Best of luck!”

@BeliebbMahomie added, “Ya! They all were good though! I had a feeling that she would win! And coming from no experience makes it better.”

While Bradbery is looking to get some help from Shelton on her debut album, fans are hoping that she and Hayes will recreate some of the magic they shared during their rendition of “I Want Crazy” during the finale. @tomlinfalls tweeted, “@DBradbery @HunterHayes hey y’all should do a few duets like both writing and recording that’d be so awesome.”
