Everything You Need To Know About Watching The 2014 VMAs

It’s almost here! So if you haven’t gotten your snacks in order, slipped into your best couch couture and fired up your 60″ Vizio or laptop, it’s time to get serious about watching the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

And, just in case you’re wondering where the show is being broadcast, we’ve come up with some helpful questions and answers for your VMA pleasure:

Q: Can you watch the VMAs online?
A: No, you can’t watch the actual show in a livestream, but you can watch the red carpet livestream and all access all night — featuring 8 camera angles you can toggle back and forth between. You can make your own GIFs from the feed, too.

Q: When are the VMAs on?
A: The show starts on MTV at 9 p.m. (8 Central). There is also the All-Access Live experience, which gives you exclusive access to the red carpet arrivals. When the show starts you can go backstage with 8 different camera angles that will take you from the audience to Backstage, the VIP area and more.

Q: When does the Pre-show start?
A: The carpet starts at 6:30 p.m. ET/ 3:30 p.m. PT, pre-show starts at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT
