When “The Fast and the Furious” debuted in 2001, few expected that it would evolve into a full-fledged franchise — much less one that lasted 12 years and produced five sequels (and counting). “Fast & Furious 6” arrives in theaters with enormously high expectations, thanks in no small part to the convergence of stars and supporting players from literally all of the previous installments, including the anachronistic “Tokyo Drift.”
