French Montana, Fat Joe, DJ Drama To Lean Back On ‘RapFix Live’ Couch

There is a certain aura that surrounds Bronx, New York, and the MCs that hail from hip-hop’s birthplace. On Tuesday (May 21), French Montana continued to carry on the BX tradition that has been represented by the likes of KRS-One, Fat Joe and Big Pun when he dropped his debut album Excuse My French. And on Wednesday, “RapFix Live” will celebrate with French and Fat Joe at 4 p.m. ET on MTV Jams and RapFix.MTV.com.

Montana first made his mark rapping at the tail end of his Cocaine City DVDs. He has since risen through hip-hop’s ranks, contributing a number of mixtapes and high-powered singles. Now, French has officially crossed over from an underground rap artist to a major-label star with the release of his oft-delayed LP on Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment. The album, which was executive produced by Sean Combs and Maybach Music CEO Rick Ross, features contributions from Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, the Weeknd and currently incarcerated NYC favorite Max B. When he sits down with Sway, French will detail his rise and tell us the behind-the-scenes stories making this LP.

While French was on rise, it was Fat Joe who stood as Bronx’s big man. Joe dropped his debut rap album Represent 20 years ago in 1993 and amassed a great deal of hits along the way. As the head of Terror Squad Records, Joe has helped others, introducing fans to not only Big Pun, but to DJ Khaled as well. Expect him to open up at his illustrious career when he hits the couch tomorrow.

DJ Drama will also be coming through to hold us down on the 1s and 2s and talk about his latest Street Quality Music LP as well as his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape releases. To close the show, we’ll have 2013 XXL Magazine freshmen Dizzy Wright, Travi$ Scott, Action Bronson and Logic to come through and kick what is sure to be a memorable freestyle. You don’t want to miss it.

Catch French Montana, Fat Joe, DJ Drama, Dizzy Wright, Travis Scott, Action Bronson and Logic on “RapFix Live” on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on RapFix.MTV.com and live on MTV Jams. Be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Send your questions for the artists to @MTVRapFix!
