Fans of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” know that the show isn’t shy about stringing things out for a long time. Plot points mentioned early on may not pay off until not just episodes later, but sometimes seasons.
So it’s with great excitement that it looks like the show is finally ready to reveal Emilia Clarke’s belly button with these pictures from Sunday’s “Mockingbird:”
Oh, sorry about that, the above picture is actually Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, enjoying a snowfall at the Aerie. Book readers will know this is a pretty big scene, and a turning point for the character — surprisingly one that doesn’t happen until mid-way through book four.
That said, it’s definitely not a belly button, so here we go:
Whoops, wrong again. That’s John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, looking grossed out that we thought he was a belly button. He’s actually preparing for the possibility of a war with Wildlings at the Wall.
Sorry, Samwell. You’re not a belly button. We know that now. Here’s the real belly button pic:
…Or maybe not. That’s two people, which is even less like a belly button than one person. Because people don’t have two belly buttons. That said, there are two people in this picture, Gwendoline Christie and Daniel Portman as Brienne and Podrick, and they do have a belly button each, we assume. Also, do horses have belly buttons? If so, that brings the belly button count up to four, but we still can’t see any of them.
Okay, enough navel gazing, here’s the real picture:
