WARNING: Major “Game of Thrones” spoilers ahead. Here be dragons and potentially upsetting news.
Boy Jerk King Joffrey had quite the episode this weekend with “The Lion and the Rose.” Not only did he celebrate the happiest day of his life (or so we hear), he also marked the very last day of his life when he drank poison. Oopsie-doo. He turned all sorts of colors, choked magnificently, and then died with blood pouring out of his nose. Talk about drama.
While audiences across the land reacted with a sort of savage glee, Jack Gleeson, who plays Joffrey on the show, reacted with a photobomb. Of course.
One of Gleeson’s pals posted the above snap on Instagram, showcasing not only a giant (in scale and in impact) spoiler, but also Gleeson’s amazing derp face. He might as well be shrugging his shoulders like a cartoon while a sad trombone plays. Look at this guy, right? Aaaaaw, man. Kings.
There are a few things we can learn from Gleeson and his portrayal of King Joffrey: How not to be a total jerk who goads dwarves into humping representations of his dead pals, as well as how to drop the perfect photobomb. Thanks, Jack!
