Greatest Harrison Ford Interview Of All Time? See For Yourself!

Harrison Ford is a rare breed among the Hollywood royalty, not just for his unbelievable resume that includes “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones,” but for his interviews. The legendary leading man doesn’t mince words while doing press, and he doesn’t mind cracking a dry joke.

MTV News Josh Horowitz became very intimate with Ford’s style during a 20-minute interview at San Diego Comic-Con about his upcoming movie, “Ender’s Game,” and to help you fully appreciate the awesomeness of his interview prowess, here are some of Ford’s very best quotes from the interview.

1: 20 — “How about ‘How’s your day going?’ just to start?”
When Ford shows up after his producer, Roberto Orci, Josh dives right back into the interview, something that catches the actor off guard.

2:25 — “Thrilled to be here. I’m sedated, but I’m glad to be here.”
Ford finally gets to answer the question, and his response does not disappoint.

2:40 — “There was money involved.”
Explaining why he joined “Enders Games,” after Josh suggested that it had to do with Orci.

5:50 — “It was, all together, attractive to me and the fact that it’s the kind of movie that people like to get out of the house to see on the big screen is very important to me.”
It’s refreshing to hear the star of such classic movies to champion the theater experience. Here, Ford explains what made him consider working on “Ender’s Game.”

7:30 — First phone call

7:51 — “What were I saying?”

8:14 — First text message

8:20 — “It sounds like a telephone”
Josh inquires about what kind of ringtone his cellphone has.

8:44 — Second phone call

9:54 — “That’s the half of it that we can talk about in public.”
After Orci explains that his job is massaging Ford’s shoulders and getting him to come out of his trailer, the actor had this to say.

10:20 — Second text message

10:35 — “You talking to me? I’m not prepared at this time to have an in-depth conversation about— What did you call it again? ‘Star Wars.’ No, can’t talk about it.”
Ford’s response to being asked about playing Han Solo again.

11:38 — “He’s a great storyteller. He’s developed an enormous filmmaking skill. I think it’s a daunting project, and he’s the kind of guy that can take on huge challenges. Other than that, I don’t know. Wonderful guy. [I’m] really happy that he’s involved in the movie, even if I’m not. [Big wink]”
After talking about J.J. Abrams’ qualifications for the new “Star Wars,” Harrison joked around with a wink about appearing in “Episode VII.”

12:40 — “Chicks. I didn’t need all of this, just the ladies, old copy of Playboy. That’s it. I didn’t really have a celebrity obsession. When I went to movies, it was Gene Autry and the original Lone Ranger.”
Harrison Ford didn’t get obsessed over nerd stuff. He liked girls, as he explained during the interview.

15:00 — “I…I…I…I don’t know, man. It’s just wonderfully weird. I’m grateful that there’s a place for all of these people to go that’s not terribly close to my house.”
On how he feels about Comic-Con and the people who attend.

16:23 — “I hope none of them are heart surgeons.”

16:38 — “This is clicking.”
Josh felt that, perhaps, he wasn’t getting along with Ford, but the actor reassured him.

17:55 — “I feel bad now. Not for me, for you.”
Harrison Ford didn’t know what Superman’s Kryptonian name was, and he doesn’t care.

19:28 — “Where does he go from there? Is that what they call ‘character development’?
This is Ford’s main question after hearing about a “Game of Thrones” character who lost his penis.

20:07 — “…No.”
After being asked to do a Chewbacca impersonation, Ford gave this as his response.

20:30 — “Do you mind if I take a call?”
With the interview wrapping up, Ford decides to finally return those phone calls.
