Entertainment Weekly is hosting the episode’s (aptly titled “The Simpsons Guy”) nearly five-minute preview, which was debuted at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
Judging from the clip, the crossover merges tropes from both shows to hilarious effect. While Peter Griffin advises his family to not drink the water (“everyone around here looks like they have hepatitis”), he warms up to Homer over a shared love of donuts.
Bart and Baby Stewie prank call Moe (spoiler: Stewie kinda misses his mark).
And the two families seem to be getting along well, especially Homer and Peter, who head to Moe’s Tavern for a beer.
But trouble ensues when the Pawtucket Patriot Ale Peter shares with Homer tastes suspiciously like Duff, and things take a fighting turn:
And, well, things only get weirder from there in the preview, but we’ll let you see for yourself. The hour-long “The Simpsons Guy” airs on September 28 on Fox.
