With “Game of Thrones” officially off the tube again until 2015, one English company is filling the void left by the series by recasting some of its key characters as viral video stars.
You might have seen this video before, in which a terrified man flees across a green, pursued by two angry swans, while his hysterical friend films the ordeal and urges him to “Just f—ing charge it!” (Obviously, said friend does not realize that swans are literally winged demon beasts who murder people every year.)
The video was a major hit, but now there’s a new version: in this ad for the UK on-demand video service Blinkbox, the golfer’s terror gets taken to a whole new level, with the swans replaced by two of Daenerys Targaryen’s fire-breathing, goat-mauling dragon kids.
