If There’s A ‘Full House’ Revival On The Way, It Needs The Olsen Twins

Looks like Uncle Jesse and the “Full House” crew might be getting a reboot!

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Studio Warner Bros. Television is working on reviving the cult classic show. John Stamos — better known to “Full House” fans as Uncle Jesse, of course — is definitely on board for the revival, along with the show’s executive producer Bob Boyett and the creator of the show Jeff Franklin.

I know what everyone’s thinking, though: What about Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen? Where will the show’s reboot be without Michelle?

Well, there’s no word yet on whether or not the Olsen twins will be returning to the show, which might be a pivotal factor in its success.

For now, we know that Franklin is currently writing new scripts and that Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J., Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie and Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy, are definitely involved. Bob Saget, who played Danny, and Davie Coulier, who was Joey, are also involved in “some capacity,” according to THR.

There have been rumors of the show getting a sequel of some sort recently, as Jimmy Fallon did a sketch with Danny, Jesse and Joey back in January right before he left his “Late Night” show.

“Full House” ran on ABC from 1987 until 1995, and it remains one of the highest rated shows on Nick at Nite in re-runs. Considering fellow ’90s relic “Boy Meets World” just relaunched as “Girl Meets World” with most of the original cast, the timing seems right for a “Full House,” reboot too.

We’ll be watching for more details, and most importantly, any word from the Olsen twins!
