Jason Biggs Apologizes For Malaysian Airlines Tweets

Jason Biggs has apologized for a tweet made about yesterday’s (July 17) Malaysian Airlines tragedy.

The tweet, which he has since deleted, referenced the tragedy of a Malaysian airliner which was shot down over Ukraine, by what appears to be pro-Russian separatist forces. Over 300 people were onboard, including a number of Americans.

Shortly after the crash, Biggs tweeted, “Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?” to his 452,000 followers, who almost immediately struck back at the “Orange is the New Black” actor for his remark.

Biggs then responded with a series of angry tweets at the people who took issue with his initial tweet. He has since deleted those as well, but we have screenshots of them below. Be warned, as the second tweet contains a curse.

Today (July 18), though, the actor issued an apology:

The actor has previously drawn ire for similar tweets about a “Bachelorette” contestant who died, and the (previous) Malaysian plane which went missing.
