Now that Jay Z has wrapped his Legends of the Summer Tour with Justin Timberlake, the Roc Boss is revving his engine for the North American leg of his Magna Carta World Tour — notice how the tour name incorporates both the rapper’s most recent album title and his last name.
Hov’s Life and Times site published the dates for the 34-date run on Friday (September 6), shortly after his Throne partner, Kanye West, announced his Yeezus Tour with Kendrick Lamar . Tickets for the Live Nation-produced tour will go on sale on September 12 at 10 a.m. ET, though there are two pre-sale dates on September 9 and September 11.
It’s all in support of Jay’s Magna Carta … Holy Grail LP, which was just certified double-platinum two months after its unorthodox release, which delivered the first one million copies to Samsung phone users for free.
While on the road, Jigga and JT combined sets, offering a unique concert-going experience. So far, though, Jay hasn’t announced any tourmates for this next run.
