Ready to put your pom poms down for some new Jonas Brothers tunes? Well, the group’s new single, “First Time,” is on its way June 25, the JoBros confirmed.
The track leaked earlier this week and the guys addressed the unauthorized first listen on Thursday. “Crazy the #firsttime was on iTunes early but for everyone that didn’t get it make sure to grab it on the 25th!!” Kevin wrote, with Joe tweeting, “Well looks like our next single first time was put on iTunes for 12 hours [on Wednesday]. . . … For those of you who are quick and downloaded it.. Congrats hope you like it. For the rest of you.. JUNE 25th!!!”

Whereas the band opted for the up-tempo “Pom Poms” to set the tone for their 2013 album release, the trio will drop the less peppy “First Time” as the next cut off the still-untitled follow-up to 2010’s Vines Lines and Trying Times. The brothers will still hold a live chat on Monday, June 17 at 7 p.m. ET to discuss it.
They played the mid-tempo cut, full of synthy bleeps and vocal loops, live during their reunion show at New York’s Radio City last October. And perhaps fans will get another chance to hear it this weekend. The guys are slated to perform at the Miss USA pageant (airing Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC), where Nick will be co-hosting with E! News host Giuliana Rancic.
Weeks after they drop “First Time,” the guys will kick off their summer tour on July 10 in Chicago. This week they announced they will be joined by Karmin as their opening act.
