Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez: Their Billboard Music Awards Reunion

Whether they are currently together or not according to the latest gossip, both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hit up the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to attend the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 19).

Gomez was the first performer of the night, setting the tone. She kept the Bollywood theme of her MTV Movie Awards performance in a flowy dress with a gold metal bustier and bindi, sensually dancing to her latest single “Come & Get It.”

Later on, Selena — in a partially see-through black dress — was on hand to introdue her bestie Taylor Swift, who performed “22” on live TV for the first time … in a horse T-shirt! Later, Gomez sat in the same row as Swift and Ed Sheeran to watch the big show.

Several performances after Gomez took the stage, it was time to board Bieber Air. JB walked out of the window of the cockpit of “Bieber Air” then popped-and-locked his way through “Take You.”

As city names flashed behind him and computer-generated maps pointed out exotic locales, the global superstar, in all black everything, performed the unreleased Believe track, putting the focus on his dance moves. As the song wrapped up, Bieber got back into the cockpit, set to fly the friendly skies.

In between performances, Bieber snagged the prize for Top Male Artist. “I want to thank all my fans. I want to thank my whole family, thank you guys so much,” he told the room, with Selena looking on from the audience — though her poker face didn’t give any indication of their current relationship status.

Before long, Bieber landed back onstage to join will.i.am for “#thatpower.” The twosome faced off (and not as holograms) for the #willpower anthem, bringing their best robot dance moves to Sin City. The performance had only one Bieber, but will.i.am was joined by hat-and-sunglass-wearing doppelgangers.

Then, Bieber was back again when he won the Milestone Award. During his speech, he peeled away his sunglasses and got real, really real. “I’m 19 years old. I think I’m doing a pretty good job,” he said. “And basically, from my heart, I just really want to say it should really be about the music. This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously. And all this other bull should not be spoken of.”
