Shortly after Justin Bieber slammed stories about him searching for a house in Atlanta as false, the singer made more headlines in ATL on Tuesday when one of his bodyguards was arrested on a felony theft charge.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, bodyguard Hugo Hesny, was taken in by police on Tuesday afternoon on the charge after allegedly taking away a photographer’s $10,000 camera during a confrontation outside the Sandy Springs Funhouse, a kids’ play spot with laser tag and inflatables.
Bieber and his entourage were reportedly inside the Funhouse when the incident occurred. “The security guard and driver followed and then stopped the photographer’s car in an adjacent parking lot,” Captain Steve Rose said in an emailed statement to the paper. “The security guard took the camera from the photographer’s car and both men left and drove to the home Bieber is renting.” Bieber’s driver was also taken into custody in the incident but is not expected to face charges.
An officer stopped a Cadillac Escalade as it pulled out of the Funhouse driveway and spotted the camera while interviewing Hesny and he driver. Bieber, who has had his share of legal troubles lately, was not involved in the incident, according to Rose.
