Katie Holmes is clearly getting very comfortable with her castmates on the set of The actress re-tweeted an image of her “Giver Family” on Friday (October 25), which included co-stars Taylor Swift and Jeff Bridges.
In the pic sent out by film producer Nikki Silver and re-tweeted by Holmes, the 34-year-old actress has her arm around Swift on one side and co-star Odeya Rush on the other.
The movie tells the story of a boy named Jonas who grows up in a Utopian community free of war, pain and emotion and whose life changes when he is chosen to store all past experiences as the Receiver of Memory. It is currently shooting in Cape Town, South Africa and is slated for release on August 15. In addition to Bridges and Holmes, it also stars Academy-Award winner Meryl Streep and up-and-coming Australian actor Brenton Thwaites.
Swift was reportedly offered a supporting role in the film by Weinstein Company boss Harvey Weinstein, who introduced her to Thwaites during the Toronto International Film Festival.
Holmes’ first-ever official tweet was about the shoot (“loving South Africa!!!”), and it sounds like it’s off to a good start. “So happy to be on twitter!!!!!!” she wrote. “Sending first tweets from South Africa!!!!!”
