Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are officially headed to the big screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “Key & Peele” stars will be making their first feature film together in the near future, titled “Keanu.”
And no, it won’t be a spoof about that guy who starred in the “Matrix” trilogy. The plot will reportedly center on a cat that gets kidnapped (kit-napped?).
The announcement comes on the heels of a variety of other Key & Peele-gone-Hollywood news items.
Not only have they signed on to produce New Line Cinema’s upcoming reboot of “Police Academy,” but the Comedy Central duo are also developing a movie around their popular “Substitute Teacher” sketch.
While there is no scheduled release date for “Keanu,” production for the project is set to begin next spring.
