In only two weeks, fans will get the chance to hear Lady Gaga‘s new single, In the meantime, she’s gifting her Little Monsters with some teases of what to expect.
On Sunday, the Mother Monster tweeted out some new lyrics from the DJ White Shadow-produced track. She wrote, “i stand here waiting/ for you to bang the gong/ to crash the critic saying/ is it right or is it wrong?”
So, now fans know several lines to the track to memorize ahead of its release, including the previously released lyrics, “Give me that thing that I love/ Put your hands up make ’em touch/ A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E.”
She also had a message for her fans, sharing, “Thank you monsters & street teams for initiating ARTPOP revolution. Your passion is beautiful & we love you. We can’t wait to see you dance!”
Last week, Gaga confirmed that in addition to premiering her new song on August 19, she will also debut the music video for the lead single off ARTPOP.
Days after she premieres “Applause,” Gaga is slated to take the stage on August 25 at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards taking place live at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Gaga has been busy on social media as of late after being sidelined by a career-threatening hip injury earlier this year. Just days before she teased some more details for her next single, she also tweeted out a photo of herself in the studio. Her message? “She wants revenge.” Fans will likely be able to solve that mysterious tweet when Gaga’s album, ARTPOP, hits retailers on November 11.
