Lil Wayne Goes Absolutely Nuts On ‘D’usse’: Listen Now

By Maurice Bobb

Just in time for happy hour, Lil Wayne dropped the full version of “D’usse,” the latest shot glass of sonic heat from his “Weezy Wednesdays” series.

Tunechi let fans have a sip of “D’usse” earlier today with a teaser video that featured him pouring himself some of the Cognac and toasting to unseen companions.

The Lee Majors-produced track begins with a rhythmic piano riff, with the Young Money CEO shouting out Jay Z, the original endorser of the smooth spirit: “This motherf–kin’ D’usse got me sweatin’ and shi–. Word to God. Hov, f–k wit’ ya boy.”

Rumors, of course, spread like wildfire that the track might feature a verse from Jay, but the Roc Nation CEO is nowhere to be found on the song.

No matter. Wayne’s so focused and succinct in his lyrical assault, he doesn’t need any help.

Once he’s in the pocket of the beat, Weezy fires off provocative lines, all drenched in braggadocio and sentimentality: “The world is mine, I am selfish/I am a shark, f–k them shellfish/Everybody in the building, well I left that bitch like Elvis, n—a please, pops treated Moms like Billy Jean/like hot sauce I put that on everything/I’mma give that f–kin’ woman everything, everything.”

The projected Tha Carter V single ends with Wayne shouting out other rappers from his label like Lil Twist.
