Lil Wayne‘s got a lot of ladies, and he’s not afraid to name ’em.
In the latest episode of his weekly vlog series, “Weezy Wednesdays,” the rapper kicked a freestyle over a live rendition of “6 Foot 7 Foot,” where he lists the many women whom he’s been with.
“I just might go and get a dance from Sophia/ If I’m in the area,” he raps at one point, before adding, “Know a bitch named Dominique/ She live right by the beach.”
The freestyle, which is backed by a live band and performed for Mack Maine and Weezy’s manager, Cortez Bryant, comes as part of the video’s opening sequence.
“I live in Miami, it’s way too many bitches,” Tunechi raps, less as a complaint than boast.
In total, in the brief minute and a half rhyme, the YMCMB MC namedrops more than half a dozen females. It’s not all listing sexual escapades, though. He flexes his signature wit, too: “I live in Miami, it’s way too many women/ Everybody cheatin’, they on that Roger Clemens.”
Much of the rest of the video focuses on Tunechi’s other favorite hobby: skateboarding.
And long will this snippet have to hold fans over before they got some official new music from the rap star? Not long — we think and hope.
In March, Bryant clarified that Tha Carter V would not drop on May 5, as had been rumored. He did talk it up, though. “[It’s] gonna be f—in’ amazing,” he said. “It’s gonna be that good.”
Those May 5 rumors were set in motion by an announcement Drake made at a party in New Orleans during NBA All-Star Weekend in February.
Mel Smith, the VP of Promotion at Cash Money, added fuel to that fire. “We’re very close to dropping the album,” he said that same weekend. “It’s going to be a huge surprise to everyone; it’s an incredible album. … I can’t release the date because [Wayne] wants to surprise people; he wants his true fanbase to get excited but he’s worked extremely hard on it and you won’t be disappointed.”
