Lil Za was sentenced on Wednesday (April 30) after pleading no contest to a felony drug possession stemming from a raid of Justin Bieber’s home in January.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed on Wednesday (April 30) that the 20-year-old rapper, born Xavier Domonique Smith, pleaded no contest to one felony count, of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor, for damaging a prison phone. He faces three years felony probation, 20 days of community service and ordered to enter a drug program.
Lil Za was arrested on January 14 after police found the substance “in plain view” in Bieber’s Calabasas home. They had obtained a search warrant after Bieber’s neighbor said he and his friends caused close to $20,000 in damage by egging his home.
Shortly after being released, he took to Twitter to address misconceptions in the media, including original reports that cocaine was the substance found in Bieber’s home.
“Honestly , the media is making me someone I’m not,” he tweeted. “But only those in my shoes can relate. … These ppl get paid to make you look bad.”
