Lindsay Lohan is on a roll. Just two weeks after leaving a court-ordered 90-day stint in rehab , the actress has booked her second major TV gig.
With a successful run as a one-night guest host on under her belt, Lohan is getting ready to make a major splash on the end run of HBO’s “Eastbound & Down” as she tries to rebuild a career that has suffered after years of legal and substance problems.
Lohan posted a glamorous selfie on Tuesday with the message, “#back@work! So grateful today! :)”
E! Online confirmed with HBO that the Instagram photo was referring to a job shooting some scenes for “Eastbound” in Wilmington, North Carolina for a guest-starring role in the R-rated sitcom’s upcoming fourth and final season. The show stars Danny McBride as former baseball pitching great Kenny Powers, a hard-partying man with no internal sensor and a bizarre notion of how to raise his illegitimate son.
A source told the site that Lohan plays the daughter of one of the show’s main characters and that she was filming a wedding scene set many years in the future in which she is the bride. “Eastbound” returns on September 29 for its final run of eight episodes.
A spokesperson for HBO could not be reached for comment at press time. Lohan has slowly been re-emerging since her rehab stay, filming a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey scheduled to air on Sunday. Her new film, is in theaters now.
