Master P literally started from the bottom, but since then, the No Limit mastermind has been celebrated for his business mind. After he took his small family-oriented rap label and turned it into a multimillion dollar powerhouse, P stood at the top of an empire, which he is looking to strengthen. On Wednesday, the Ice Cream Man will tell his story on “RapFix Live.”
As a solo artist, P was responsible for hits like “Bout It Bout It,” “I Miss My Homies” and “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!,” and as an executive, he put out records by artists like C-Murder, Silkk the Shocker, Mia X, Soulja Slim, Mystikal and Snoop Dogg, to name a few. These days, he has rebranded the label as New No Limit and hooked up Alley Boy and Fat Trel to form the trio Louie V Mob. On Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, he will break it all down on MTV Jams and RapFix.MTV.com.
Maino and his group the Mafia will also swing by the “RapFix Live” set to give fans a preview of their new video for “We Comin’,” a hard-edged street cut which serves up a warning shot to more established rap acts. In addition to the video preview, you can be sure that Push!, Lucky Don, Twigg Martin and Mouse will each come prepped with a verse to spit.
