Last week, we got a sneak peek at Miley Cyrus‘ furry V Magazine cover, which, between the bright blue bathing suit and pile of stuffed animals, was extremely memorable. The rest of the spread was revealed and, unsurprisingly, features a number of other pants-free and noteworthy snaps. “The Emancipation of Miley” was shot by Karl Lagerfeld and styled by Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele, another heavyweight in the fashion industry, which means Cyrus gets to add another notch to her fashion belt.

Miley is a natural fit for the “The Rebel Issue,” given her metamorphosis from her child performer roots to the walking, talking water cooler topic that she is today. In one shot, Miley channels Twiggy in a pair of thigh-high Jeremy Scott for Adidas boots. Paired with a Moschino fur coat, Jeremy Scott lace-front shorts, and a Chanel watch, you have a look that is definitely not meant for the football field.

In another shot, Miley hangs poolside in a look certainly not intended to get wet. I mean, peep those serious eyelashes, fluorescent pink turtleneck by Bottega Veneta, and dental couture Patricia Field bag. I wouldn’t be surprise if the placement of said purse was an intentional nod to vagina dentata by a particularly cheeky De Dudzeele.

Given her love of inflatable objects, it’s no surprise a palm tree makes an appearance in the spread. Perhaps more interesting than the tree’s positioning, though, is Miley’s sweater and shoes from Jeremy Scott. A lot of Jeremy Scott and Moschino in this shoot, eh? My desire to see what those two are brewing for NYFW has officially reached an all-time high.
The full issue comes out on September 10th—you can head over to V Magazine‘s site for more.
