Sway Calloway has a lengthy and impressive resume in the music industry.
There’s his decade-plus at MTV, of course. But the Oakland native was also part of the rap duo Sway & King Tech, host of “The Wake Up Show,” also alongside Tech, and is the current host of “Sway in the Morning” on Shade 45. Now, to top it all off, he’s launching his own entertainment outfit.
Partnering with music executive Kelly Jackson, Sway has founded OverDeliver Entertainment, which will serve as a label and management company.
OverDeliver also announced on Tuesday (August 26) its first signing: Singer, rapper and producer G.L.A.M., which stands for Good Lyrics And Music. Also an Oakland native, her album is scheduled to be released in October.
“It was important for me to find the right artist to support and introduce to the world,” Sway said in a statement. “I believe G.L.A.M. is that artist who will bring value to the game through her music and what she represents.”
