Need To Know: 5SOS’ Ashton Recovers And Gives A Tour Of His Bandmate’s House

With additional reporting by Janelle Myers

Ashton: The Tour Guide
After his bout with appendicitis and recovering at home, Ashton Irwin reunited with his 5 Seconds Of Summer bandmates and decided to give a tour of Michael’s house. First, he showed the office and the wall on which Michael’s parents framed 5SOS’ milestones.

Then, he presented more of the house where they shot many Instagram videos. Bonus: Luke covers Wheatus’ iconic song “Teenage Dirtbag.”

Playing tour guide must have been exhausting, because the guys went shopping and Ashton tried on this puffy vest.

“Was nice to hang with my dudes today, they said I should buy this puffy vest, told me it looked ‘bangin’.”

Kesha And Dr. Luke Lawsuit Continues
A deposition from 2011 was unsealed that contradicts Kesha‘s allegations of sexual assault and forcible drug use by longtime producer Dr. Luke. In 2010, Kesha’s former management company, DAS Communications, sued her and Luke over a contractual dispute and alleged owed finances. During the deposition, she denied ever having “an intimate relationship” with Luke, but remember that “does not negate the possibility of abuse having transpired.”

Taylor Gives Us More
The countdown to the October 27 release of Taylor Swift‘s album 1989 continues, and she teased her song “Never Go Out Of Style” in a Target commercial.

But Why, Mom?
Toys “R” Us pulled “Breaking Bad” action figures off of their shelves in response to a petition started by a mother named Susan Schrivjer, who was alarmed by the imitation drug paraphernalia packaged with them. In a statement, she said that parents and grandparents “should not be forced to explain why a certain toy comes with a bag of highly dangerous and illegal drugs.” Schrivjer thought it was inappropriate and so did more than 9,000 people who signed the petition.

Must-See Video Of The Day
Treat yourself this Wednesday morning with a silly clip of Aziz Ansari demonstrating the meaning of the word “ridiculous” with the help of Sesame Street’s Grover.

When she’s not behind her desk at MTV News, you’ll probably find her kicking and punching an imaginary arch nemesis at the gym or dancing and shopping for carrots in the aisles of her local supermarket.
