A big day for movie-lovers everywhere. The 2014 MTV Movie Awards nominations are out. A mix of Oscar favorites and LOL-worthy comedies make up the majority. (You know there’s no limit on how many times you can vote, right?) While we reflect back on the best movies of the past year, we’re also looking forward – two upcoming musical movies have us psyched for what’s to come.
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards Nominees Are…
“The Wolf of Wall Street” and “American Hustle” lead the pack with eight nominations each. Oscar favorites like “12 Years A Slave” get shout outs for Movie of the Year, Best Male and Best Female Performances while Best Kiss has some hot and heavy romances, some girl-on-girl power play, and even a few triple kisses nominated. First Looks at ‘Annie’ & ‘All Is By My Side’
Wednesday gave us peeks at two of the most talked about musical movies of 2014. First, Cameron Diaz, Jamie Fox and Quvenzhané Wallis sing Broadway classics in modern day New York in the upcoming remake of “Annie.” Then, OutKast’s Andre 3000 flirts with Imogen Poots in the Jimi Hendrix biopic “All Is By My Side.” We won’t see “Annie” hit theaters until Christmas, but “All Is By My Side” will have it’s big debut at SXSW in a few weeks.
