Kanye West is collaborating with James Blake on the indie electronic singer-songwriter’s third album. Blake confirmed to NME Magazine that the “Love Lockdown” rapper, as well as Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, will work on his next LP.

Ed Sheeran is full of surprises and he provided photographic evidence that he hit the studio with the most eclectic group of men – Usher, Diplo and Skrillex. After the four of them cut and mixed the untitled track, it turned out so well, Sheeran wanted it for himself, BUT it may wind up on Usher’s next album. J.Cole premiered his “Lights Please” music video on Sunday after five years. The music video was meant to be part of a trilogy along with “Lost Ones” and “Simba,” but, at the time that it was completed, he was not ready to release it. Also FYI, “Lights Please” was the song that persuaded Jay Z to sign J. Cole to Roc Nation.
Much Music Video Awards Winners
Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Lorde performed at the Much Music Video Awards last night. The most notable winners were Lorde, who won International Video of The Year by an Artist for “Royals”; Imagine Dragons, who were awarded International Video of The Year by a Group for “Demons”; and Drake, who received Hip Hop Video of the Year for “Worst Behavior.” Drake has been having a pretty good week so far. You know he has his own official day now, right?
