In case you didn’t hear, One Direction released Midnight Memories this week. Their latest album has fans squealing with delight, so we wanted to find out more about what gets the guys excited.
1D opened up to MTV News about their favorite songs on the album, and we challenged them to a little game. The guys dug into a fish bowl and pulled fill-in-the-blank questions at random. We told them they had to answer them.

Buzz Cut
Question: “My most scandalous ‘Midnight Memory’ was when I [blank]?”
Answer: When asked about what he does after the sun goes down, Liam Payne’s responded, “Shaved me head. Those are the things that we shall not mention; on to the next question.”
Pumping Iron
Question: “To get ‘Strong’ I [blank] at the gym?”
Answer: Of course, Niall Horan and the boys are famous for hitting the gym. And while we already know that Harry lifts weights, Niall shared he’s got another routine. “I squat!” he declared.
Take Their Music Home?
Question: “Midnight Memories will be better than [blank]?”
Answer: “The last two albums,” Harry Styles said. Does Zayn Malik agree? “OK, we’ll go with that one.”
Hotel California
Question: “The best gift I got from a fan was [blank]?”
Answer: Niall is apparently a big fan of particular 1970s rock band, and one smart Directioner knew which one he fancies. So, one of his favorite gifts from a fan was “an Eagles vinyl. I’m a big fan of the Eagles.”
Little White Lies
Question: “The last ‘Little White Lie(s)’ I told was [blank]?”
Answer: One of the songs on Midnight Memories is “Little White Lies,” but it seems like the guys don’t tell those very often. Liam dished, “I can’t think of anything ’cause I never lie, ever. Well, clearly none of us have lied about anything!”
