One Direction Kick Off Where We Are Tour And It Has Us Giving Thanks

TORONTO, CANADA- It was a sound unlike any other, a deafening, exciting and memorable noise that your ears won’t forget for quite some time. I’m talking about the sound of 54,000 fans screaming for One Direction.

1D kicked off the North American leg of their Where We Are Tour on Friday night (August 1), with one of the hottest bands in the U.S.as their opening act, none other than 5SOS, in front of a sold out crowd at Toronto’s Rogers Centre and we were there to take it all in.

With their handmade signs in hand, their homemade T-shirts on display, fans of all ages (including some really brave dads) threw up their neon glow sticks lighting up the arena, seemingly flooring the band, who still, after four years, seemed a bit in awe of all the attention.

“It’s pretty weird and pretty amazing,” Zayn told the crowd. “Thank you so much we wouldn’t be able to do it without you.”

In between playing all of their hit songs, giving props to the crowd seemed to be the overall theme of the night, with each member personally thanking their Directioners. Now, we know we’re a pretty great group of fans, but honestly, One Direction, you are the ones who deserve all the thanks on this tour.

You put on a show that was entertaining, amusing and unpredictable, giving us all midnight memories to last a lifetime. And for those of you who haven’t gotten to see the show yet, here’s why we are giving thanks to 1D after witnessing the Where We Are Tour.

For Bringing 5SOS on Tour

The guys totally rocked the arena, playing all the crowd favs, including a cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” to the screaming fans, who were just equally as excited to see them, as they were 1D.
