Prince Throws A PJ Party: Four Pranks We’re Planning To Pull

Party at Prince’s house, guys! Pajama party, that is. That’s right, Prince is continuing his obsession with breakfast and all that comes before by throwing an all-night party at his home and recording complex Paisley Park Studios this weekend — and everyone is invited.

Prince has been pulling out the stops in support of new material from 3rdEyeGirl project, releasing new songs and videos via the band’s website and, earlier this month, playing another show at his home with both 3rdEyeGirl and New Power Generation.

Saturday’s sleepover-themed show seems a bit more elaborate, though. Titled “The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party” — in honor, likely, of his single “Breakfast Can Wait” — the party kicks off at 2 a.m. at Prince’s Minnesota home and requires partygoers to “dress 2 impress — keep it classy!” according to the flyer. The show costs a suggested donation of $50 and is sure to be packed — the last event of its ilk drew nearly 2,000 people, according to NME. And with that many people in attendance at what is essentially a giant slumber party, we imagine there will be plenty of pranks and hijinx going down.

In honor of Prince’s parents finally letting him have a real-life PJ party with all the fixings, MTV News assembled a list of four fun activities Prince and the assemblage can partake in:

1. Freeze Prince’s Blouse
Just wait until the Purple One is all tuckered out from singing and whatnot and safely in his PJs. Once he’s conked out, you simply procure his blouse, dip it in water, and then toss it in the freezer. Chilly fun for everyone! Everyone but Prince, that is.

2. Draw On Prince’s Face
We think you can guess what! Just use Prince’s 2007 Super Bowl performance as your guide.

3. Get Out the Ouija Board
We suggest speaking the spirits of Prince’s stage personas. RIP, Love Symbol #2… RIP.

4. Prank Dave Chappelle
Dave Chappelle was obviously an influence on Prince’s new track “Breakfast Can Wait” judging by the album art, which features Chappelle dressed as Prince in a 2004 Chappelle’s Show skit, hoisting a plate of pancakes. Why not pay him back —in pancakes! That whole, “Sending 20 pizzas to someone’s house” thing is so tired, so, this time, let’s go with 20 orders of pancakes. That’s right, breakfast cannot wait.
