See Jennifer Lawrence And The ‘Hunger Games’ Stars Hug After Their Final Scene

The moviegoing public won’t be seeing the credits roll on “Mockingjay: Part 2″ until late in 2015, but for the three young stars of the blockbuster franchise, their time in Panem is officially over.

Nina Jacobson, a producer on all four “Hunger Games” films, tweeted out this pic of Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson in an emotional embrace after shooting their very last scene.

The central trio weren’t the only ones getting emotional for the occasion. The day after Jacobson’s post went up, Sam Claflin, who plays District 5 golden boy Finnick Odair, made his own series of statements about the conclusion of his work on the franchise.

And Jena Malone, a.k.a. the axe-toting and often nude Joanna Mason, marked the moment with this photo taken of her on her last day on set.

Meanwhile, we won’t be seeing Katniss and company on the big screen again for many months yet with the first installment of “Mockingjay” due out in theaters this November. But do any superfans want to guess which moment from the book was the last to be filmed? That big column in the background might be a tip-off. DISCUSS.
