Is it ever a good idea to wander around alone in a dark and dreadful, haunted house?
Probably never, and that’s why the new “Silent Hills” trailer released September 17 at the Tokyo Game Show proves once again that you should have never gotten yourself in this kind of situation from the start.
Initially announced as a new project called “P.T.,” the game was assumed to be Konami’s new creep-fest, horror game series. Later, after fans heavily scrutinized every pixel, “P.T.” was revealed to actually be a demo for an upcoming “Silent Hill” game, rebooting the classic video game series.
Additionally, it was announced that director Guillermo del Toro (“Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Hellboy”) was helping develop the property, and “The Walking Dead” actor Norman Reedus would star in the new game.
So what do we know about “Silent Hills” after watching the new concept trailer? Not a whole lot, unfortunately. From the looks of it, Konami has retained the feel and tone of the “P.T.” demo, but right now that’s the sum total of what we know.
The game currently has no release date, but stay tuned to MTV News for more as it breaks.
