Two weeks from today, Joell Ortiz’s solo album, House Slippers, will hit stores. But on Tuesday (September 2), he reunited with his Slaughterhouse cohorts for “Brothers Keeper,” off the upcoming release.
With The Heatmakerz on the beat, Joell, Crooked I, Royce da 5’9″ and Joe Budden prove that Slaughterhouse is more than a group; it’s a brotherhood. Sure, that sounds like the corny slogan of some high school football team, but if you listen to the way these dudes are rapping, it’s the truth.
“It’s much deeper than the art of rap/ It’s realer than me signing a few autographs, rocking my new Slaughter tats,” Crooked I raps, expressing feelings echoed by his groupmates in their respective verses.
House Slippers hits stores September 16.
