T.I. Awards Young Thug ‘Line Of The Century’ For ‘About The Money’ Lyric

Unless you’re extremely proficient in Young Thug speak, you might be like me — replaying a track several times in an effort to understand exactly WTF he’s saying. His feature on T.I.’s hit “About the Money” was easier to understand than usual, but apparently Tip digested it all on the first take. And, he thinks that “bustin’ out the bando” might be the “line of the century.”

“You know what? That particular verse — and maybe it was because I was in the studio with him — is probably the only one I’ve heard from [Young Thug] that immediately I knew what he was saying,” T.I. told MTV News. “Just that particular verse.”

He joked that maybe some of us from up North might have a harder time understanding the subtleties of Thugga’s dialect, but all of that aside, he’s pretty sure that the Atlanta rapper had one of the most prized lines ever, on “About the Money.”

“Bustin’ out the bando — hey man, I think that’s the line of the century,” Tip said.

And, who are we to argue?

Tip also revealed that the next official single from his Paperwork album will be the title track, featuring Pharrell, although “Stay” leaked prematurely.

“We have definitely decide on ‘Paperwork’ featuring Pharrell [because it] pretty much sums up the tone of the album,” he said. “The cinematic presence of it all. When you listen to the album, top to bottom, it kinda sounds like the score to a movie and I think ‘Paperwork’ is the perfect introduction to that.”

After Paperwork, get ready for the next Grand Hustle compilation, which is tentatively scheduled for release in December.

“What’s holding up the Hustle Gang project is that we have some new additions to the mix, and we didn’t wanna put out the project out without including or allowing those new additions to be part of it,” he revealed. “Maybe we’ll do a stroke of midnight release on New Years. We did that with F–k Da City Up and it did well, so maybe we’ll try that again.”
