Taylor Swift, Pharrell, Gwen Stefani, Sia And More Inspired Hope At The ‘We Can Survive’ Concert

Last night (October 24), the We Can Survive concert event at The Hollywood Bowl brought together some of music’s biggest acts for a great cause. The star-studded show, which featured performances by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sia, Iggy Azalea, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, was presented by 5-hour Energy to benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Young Survival Coalition and was hosted by CBS Radio’s Carson Daly.

Pharrell tipped his hat to the women the event honored during his new Girl track “Come Get It Bae.”

“We are here to celebrate women tonight and their survival,” he said, before later joining Gwen Stefani onstage to serve as her hypeman for her classic “Hollaback Girl.”

Taylor Swift also gave the crowd what they wanted with older favorites like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “Trouble” before plugging her new album 1989 and performing a string of brand new songs including “Out Of The Woods” and closing with “Shake It Off.”

Sia dodged the audience by repeating her trick of performing with her back to the crowd, running through a slew of her latest album, including “Chandelier.” She was joined on the track by 11-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler who appears in the moving video for the track.

Throughout the night, artists on the packed line up remembered to re-focus attention on the charity at the heart of the evening, and encourage hope and strength in the cancer survivor community.
