‘Teen Wolf’ Star Crystal Reed Previews Season 3 Premiere

It’s back to Beacon Hills for another action-packed season of MTV’s supernatural series

Last August’s season-two finale was one memorable doozy, to be sure, but if you need a quick refresher of where things left off, you’re in luck. MTV News spoke with star Crystal Reed (who plays Allison Argent) to get a quick catch-up before diving into the shenanigans of season three.

“The end of last season, Allison did some really interesting things,” Reed said, diplomatically. “She was pretty vengeful, and she made a few mistakes, and so she’s realized that. She took three months and took a summer break with her dad to Paris and sort of figured things out. Her and Scott have been broken up for a while. She doesn’t see him, and she’s kind of removed herself from all things Beacon Hills.”

Got that? OK, let’s move on to what fans can expect from Monday’s (June 3) premiere and the rest of the season, especially as it relates to a promise Allison is probably going to break.

“We pick up tonight with her returning, and she sees Scott, and all those things come back to her,” Reed explained. “And she’s made a pact with her father not to be involved with werewolf hunting anymore, because it’s really not that good. Things start to happen in Beacon Hills, and she finds herself starting to question whether she can keep that commitment anymore, just because she’s a person who can’t just stand by when bad things are happening. She has to be involved, and she has to help even if that means lying and doing things undercover. So that’s where we are with that.”

That’s all fine and good, but what we really need to know is what’s going to happen between Allison and Scott (played by Tyler Posey). Is all hope lost for a rekindled romance?

“I think you can’t deny the connection that Allison and Scott have,” Reed said. “I think that at this moment in their lives, they just can’t be together in order for them to grow, which I love that Jeff [Davis] wrote because so many young people deal with that. I think there’s always hope. I think love always prevails. I know that’s very cheesy, but I really do believe it to be true — especially in my own life. I’ve experienced it, so I do feel like there may be hope. Just not yet.”

“Teen Wolf” season three debuts Monday, June 3 at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
