Prepare to have your mind blown…all the way to the mall.
Dave Baker, the props master for “How I Met Your Mother,” shared a number of revelations about the series’ finale episode after it aired, the biggest of which is that we could have seen one last Robin Sparkles performance.
Just let that sink in for one moment. Here’s a tissue. It’s OK. Let it out.
Baker tweeted a pic of Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin, with the iconic Robin Sparkles jean jacket thrown on over her wedding dress, rocking out with the mother (Cristin Milioti) on the bass. According to Baker, we missed out on an encore rendition of “Let’s Go To The Mall,” the pop song that made Robin’s alter ego, Robin Sparkles, a teen sensation in Canada.
And, yes, that is infamous Sparkles co-conspirator/sidekick Robot, looking dapper in his formal wear nearby.
Baker tweeted a close-up of Robot as well, naturally.
According to Baker, several other scenes (some of which contain the answers to some of our burning questions) were left on the cutting room floor, including one revealing the identity of Number 31, the mother of Barney’s daughter, and the explanation of the Pineapple Incident.
Here’s to hoping all these scenes end up on the eventual DVD release of the season. The people demand answers! And more than answers — the people need to get their Sparkle on.
We really couldn’t have gotten a little more of this to cap the series off?
Enough said.
