‘The Good, The Bad And The Ugly’ Star Eli Wallach Dies

Eli Wallach, the receipt of an honorary Oscar and one-third of the “Good, the Bad And the Ugly” titular trio, has died at the age of 98.

The Brooklyn-born actor made his big screen debut in “Baby Doll,” written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Elia Kazan, but made a name for himself starring in westerns like “The Magnificent Seven” and as Tuco “The Ugly” in Sergio Leone’s “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

It is for that Spaghetti Western that Wallach will most likely be remembered, and for good reason. Tuco is a classic character and a showcase for Wallach’s many talents.
