Gregor Clegane is no longer just the strongest man in Westeros: he’s the strongest man in all of Europe.
Hafþór Björnsson, who plays the infamous Clegane (a.k.a. The Mountain) on “Game of Thrones,” just won this year’s Europe’s Strongest Man competition.
Björnsson had already laid claim to being the second strongest man in the world, but this was his first European title. Like his “Thrones” character, he took on all challengers and left none standing, placing in first in three major categories: deadlifting; atlas stones; and the forward hold of Thor’s hammer (yes, seriously).
You can watch the video below for highlights of Björnsson’s incredible and kind of terrifying showing. And his challengers can count themselves lucky that they left out (potential spoilers) the teeth-smahsing and eye-gouging competitions this year, because you know Björnsson would’ve killed in that, too.
And no, Tyrion wasn’t in the crowd, but if he was, I’m sure his face would’ve been something like this.
