Here’s some cool news, and we mean it: G-Eazy is coming to Comic-Con.
The Oakland-based hip hop artist is the second announced musician performing at the mtvU Fandom Awards and MTV Fan Fest at Comic-Con International: San Diego, to be held at Petco Park on July 24. He joins Linkin Park as part of the lineup for Fan Fest and the Fandom Awards, which celebrates the biggest, best and brightest in movies and shows from the past year.
“I’m excited to perform at the ‘mtvU Fandom Awards’ this year,” said G-Eazy. “The Fandom Awards are for the true, true fans out there so I’m hyped for the show.”
In addition to his upcoming Comic-Con arrival, G-Eazy recently released his new album, “These Things Happen,” featuring the single “I Mean It.”
The MTV Fan Fest and mtvU Fandom Awards Special will be open to all Comic-Con badge holders throughout the day on July 24. The Fandom Awards will feature taped appearances from Hugh Jackman (Wolverine in the “X-Men” movies), Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman from “Breaking Bad”), Shailene Woodley (Tris in “Divergent”) and many more. The special airs on mtvU on July 27 at 8/7 p.m. central. Fans can vote on their favorite films, shows and stars of the past year by clicking here.
