So to counter all that, The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon asked local NBC news anchors across the United States to report stories that make us happy in the hilarious segment, “I’ve Got Good News and Good News.”
In this dream world, President Barack Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner rode in a hot air balloon together to discuss what their favorite color was, there’s an iPhone app for divorce that didn’t sell because everyone’s happily married and news anchors are there to remind you that ghosts, it turns, can’t hurt you.
“Together, we can get through this,” said one news anchor, who tells viewers “I love you.” “It’s us against the world, buddy.”
