Hey NFL fans, are you ready for some… Katy Perry?
According to Billboard, the “Dark Horse” singer will be the halftime show performer for Super Bowl XLIX.
Perry was among three potential acts shortlisted by the National Football League back in August.
The other two acts that were considered were Coldplay and Rihanna, who probably wanted nothing to do with the NFL after she called CBS out for pulling her song amid the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal.
While the league has denied the reports, it’s rumored that it wanted any potential act to pay them for the opportunity to perform.
Considering Perry’s selection and recent stance on the matter, that idea may have been squashed.
“I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl,” she said on a recent appearance on ESPN’s College Game Day.
Super Bowl XLIX will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 1, 2015 and broadcast live on NBC.
