Here at MTV News, we like to celebrate Halloween with tricks and treats, hence our latest episode of After Hours with Josh Horowitz. The host’s featured guests were co-stars Lucy Fry and Zoey Deutch, so it seemed only fitting to play a couple rounds of “F—, Marry, Kill: Vampire Edition.” (Or, as Fry preferred, “Snuggle, Marry, Kill.)
First up, the handsomest of the handsome bloodsuckers: Edward Cullen from “Twilight” (played by Robert Pattinson), Eric Northman from “True Blood” (played by Alexander Skarsgard) and Damon Salvatore from “The Vampire Diaries” (played by Ian Somerhalder).
Deutch handled this round (as Fry was still learning the rules), coyly saying she’d snuggle Skarsgard, marry Pattinson and begrudgingly kill Somerhalder.
“I don’t really feel passionate about any of them,” co-star Fry said with a giggle.
Next up, Horowitz offered up a trio of more seasoned vamps: Louis de Pointe du Lac from “Interview With the Vampire” (played by Brad Pitt), Barnabas Collins from “Dark Shadows” (played by Johnny Depp) and Count Chocula, whom you likely recognize from your supermarket’s cereal aisle.
After declaring she’d marry Count Chocula, Deutch left the final two bachelors to Fry.
“Brad was really good in that one,” Fry demurred. “I like that character. I really fell for that. Poor vampire. He just wants to eat the pigeons.”
Which left Fry murdering Johnny Depp.
“You have that on you now,” Deutch declared.
“Vampire Academy,” co-starring Sarah Hyland, Gabriel Byrne and Olga Kurylenko, opens February 14, 2014.
