Victoria Justice has gone from victorious to golden in her new video. The singer/actress has just released the shiny visual for her peppy, flirty single “Gold.”
Decked out in glamorous little dresses, the former “Victorious” star has a message for her co-star and love interest, played by “Teen Wolf” and “Arrow” star Colton Haynes: She just wants him to “man up and make your move.”
The video is composed of mostly glamour shots of the multi-talented star being flirtatious with the actor as she sings about wanting him to take their relationship to the next level. And yes, there are plenty of nods to the color gold sprinkled in the shimmering backdrops and much of Justice’s funky wardrobe.
“Gold” is the lead single off Justice’s debut album. The Nickelodeon star has been working on the release for some time now, and having unexpectedly wrapped up her time on “Victorious” earlier this year, her focus is now on her music career.
Her former co-star Ariana Grande is also on the verge of dropping her debut album, Daydreamin’, in August.
Justice opened up to MTV News about working on her debut album and how it will show another side of her, a side the legions of fans of her Nick show have never seen.
“I think my solo music will be different from what people have heard on the show,” she told us back in July 2011 about the long-simmering debut. “I love the music from the show. I think it’s so much fun. So I love all the music, and I love listening to it, but when I do my own stuff, it’ll probably be a little more mature, and [I’m] finding my own path.”
Justice has yet to set a release date for her album. She is currently on the road with Big Time Rush on their Summer Break Tour, which wraps up on August 11 in Milwaukee.
